The short answer
- Deliveroo publishes order and POS integrations, catalogue APIs and a CSV bulk upload for grocery and retail partners.
- Square lets you export your item library as a spreadsheet, and connects third-party ordering through its App Marketplace and Square Online.
- No app from Deliveroo, or from Square for Deliveroo, appeared in the UK App Marketplace search we ran.
- Your options: do it by hand, use a third-party connector, or a dedicated price sync.
What Deliveroo publishes about integrations
Deliveroo's grocery page lists four kinds of technology for shops:
- Orders and POS integrations. “Our orders and POS integrations let you sync all your accepted orders from Deliveroo with your POS system, making it easier to control and reconcile your stock.”
- Catalogue management. “Update your catalogue of items and manage your stock, whether you integrate an existing catalogue via API or our off-the-shelf Catalogue Manager.”
- Picking. The Order Picker app and a Picking API.
- Site integrations, for opening hours and closures across multiple sites.
Behind these, Deliveroo's Developer Portal lists a Retail Platform Suite: “APIs to manage your grocery business on Deliveroo.” These are built by developers and technology partners, not switched on from a settings page.
Two smaller details matter for Square shops. Deliveroo's PLU field links Deliveroo items to your till for POS-integrated partners, and “if you do not use a POS integration, you do not need to add PLUs”. And its Bulk Management CSV says the PLU field can also hold “your own internal id of items (partner SKU ID)”, which is useful for matching rows to your Square export.

What Square publishes about delivery integrations
- Partnership integrations. Square's help says these “allow you to leverage popular third-party ordering platforms your customers already use for pickup and local delivery”. You connect them from Settings > App integrations > Visit App Marketplace. You need a Square Online site first.
- How those orders behave. Orders are routed to your Point of Sale, but “delivery orders may reflect as pickup orders”. To cancel, you act on the ordering platform, not in Square. And customers can't use Square Gift Cards on those orders.
- Exporting your catalogue. Square's item library export (Actions > Export Library, Excel or CSV) gives you every item and price in one file. Square recommends keeping a copy before you change anything.
- The App Marketplace. Searching the UK marketplace for “deliveroo” (checked 22 October 2026) returned 38 results: ordering, menu and delivery-management apps, loyalty and others. None was published by Deliveroo or built by Square for Deliveroo.

Option 1: the manual route (Square export to Deliveroo bulk upload)
Without an integration, Square and Deliveroo don't share prices: a change in Square doesn't reach Deliveroo until you make it there too. Item by item in Menu Manager is fine for a few changes. For a whole catalogue, Deliveroo's Bulk Management CSV is quicker:
- In Square Dashboard, go to Items & services > Items > Item Library, click Actions > Export Library, choose All items and Excel or CSV, and click Export.
- In Deliveroo's Menu Manager, click ‘Bulk Management’, select ‘Update Items’, choose the price attributes (delivery_price, and instore_price if you offer pickup) and download the CSV file.
- Copy your Square prices into the Deliveroo file, item by item. Enter prices as plain numbers with no currency symbol, don't modify item_id, and delete rows for items you're not changing.
- Upload the file in Bulk Management, fix any errors or warnings, review the changes and confirm. Deliveroo warns that an upload can't be undone once confirmed.
- Open your store in the Deliveroo customer app and spot-check a few prices against your till.
It works, but it's repeat work: every supplier price rise means another export, copy and upload, and anything missed sits at the old price until you notice.

Option 2: third-party connectors
A category of software sits between a till and one or more delivery platforms. Some send delivery orders into your POS; some push menus, prices or stock out to the platforms; some do both. Many are built mainly for restaurants and multi-site groups. We don't rank them. What matters is whether one fits a shop selling as a grocery or retail partner on Deliveroo. Questions worth asking:
| Ask | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Which direction does it work in? | Orders into Square and prices out to Deliveroo are different jobs. Many tools do only the first. |
| Does it support Deliveroo grocery and retail partners? | Deliveroo runs separate grocery and retail tools (Order Picker, Catalogue Manager). A restaurant-only connector may not cover them. |
| How are items matched? | By PLU, SKU or name. Deliveroo's PLU field must match your till exactly. |
| What does it cost, and what's the notice period? | A monthly fee comes off the margin you're trying to protect. |
| Can you preview changes before they go live? | A bulk change on Deliveroo can't be undone once confirmed. |
Check any claim against Deliveroo's and Square's own pages before you commit.
Option 3: where SyncShelf fits
SyncShelf is being built for one job: keeping your Deliveroo prices in step with your Square prices, for independent shops that sell on Deliveroo as a grocery or retail partner. It doesn't take orders into your till, and it isn't built for restaurants.
- You keep setting prices in Square, as now.
- By default your Deliveroo prices stay the same as Square. Optional rules let you price differently, and you preview every price before anything changes.
- It shows what each item earns on Deliveroo after commission and VAT.
It's a pre-launch test. Deliveroo switches on each shop's connection at their end, and we're onboarding a small first batch of shops, free while testing. SyncShelf is not affiliated with, endorsed by or a partner of Square or Deliveroo. See how SyncShelf works.
Frequently asked questions
Does Square integrate with Deliveroo?
On the UK Square App Marketplace, a search for “deliveroo” (checked 22 October 2026) returned no app published by Deliveroo or by Square for Deliveroo. The results were general ordering and delivery-management apps. Square's help describes partnership integrations that route third-party orders into your Point of Sale, and they need a Square Online site.
Can I sync Square prices to Deliveroo automatically?
Deliveroo publishes catalogue APIs (its Developer Portal lists a Retail Platform Suite for grocery businesses) and a Bulk Management CSV upload in Menu Manager. Without an integration built on those, keeping prices in step means updating Deliveroo yourself, item by item or by CSV.
Do I need PLU codes on Deliveroo?
Only if you use a POS integration. Deliveroo's help says: “If you do not use a POS integration, you do not need to add PLUs.” A PLU must contain numbers only and match the product in your till exactly.
What should I ask a third-party connector before I sign up?
Which direction it works in (orders into your till, prices and stock out to Deliveroo, or both), whether it supports Deliveroo grocery and retail partners or only restaurants, how items are matched, what it costs each month, and the notice period. Then check the answers against Deliveroo's and Square's own pages.
SyncShelf: Your Square prices on Deliveroo, in step every day, with optional rules that help you stay inside Deliveroo's Good tier.
Before you set prices, read whether Deliveroo prices have to match in-store, and work out a price for any item with the Deliveroo margin calculator.
