SyncShelf privacy notice
SyncShelf is a pre-launch product from Caishen Labs. We ask for one piece of personal data, your email, and only if you join the early list. We measure visits without cookies, and we only use Google Analytics cookies if you click Accept.
Who we are
Caishen Labs ("we", "us") runs SyncShelf at syncshelf.caishenlabs.com and is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@caishenlabs.com. Our general privacy policy covers our other sites; this notice covers SyncShelf.
What we collect
- Your email address, only if you join the early list. We also note which SyncShelf page you signed up on and which ad or link brought you there.
- Visit measurement for everyone, without cookies: page views, scroll depth, clicks, time on page, and the referring website or campaign source (including the search keyword for our Google ads). It isn't linked to your name, and we don't follow you across other sites. To connect a visit to a sign-up, a random visit code is kept in your browser's session storage and deleted when you close the tab.
- Google Analytics, only if you click Accept: how you use the site (pages, calculator use, button clicks and the fact that you signed up, never your email address), plus the device, browser and approximate location information Google collects. If you decline or don't choose, no cookies are set and Google receives only basic signals without identifiers, which it may use for aggregate estimates.
- The calculators: the prices and costs you type stay in your browser. We never send or store them.
We don't collect names, postal addresses, phone numbers, payment details or any sensitive data. We don't use the Meta pixel or other advertising trackers.
Cookies and similar storage
These are only set after you click Accept, except the last, which remembers your choice.

You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings, which also appears at the foot of every SyncShelf page. It withdraws consent, deletes the Google cookies above and asks you again.
Why we use it, and our legal basis (UK GDPR)
- Your email: to contact you about SyncShelf and your place on the early list. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Cookie-free visit measurement: to understand whether SyncShelf is wanted and which ads work. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in validating demand, balanced against your privacy (the data isn't linked to you).
- Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement: to understand how the site is used and to measure our Google ads. Legal basis: your consent, given by clicking Accept.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We use a small number of providers who act on our instructions: Cloudflare (hosting and our cookie-free visit measurement), our email provider (to store early-list emails and send the update you asked for), and, only if you accept cookies, Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement). Where a provider processes data outside the UK, appropriate safeguards apply, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Early-list emails are kept until SyncShelf launches or is discontinued, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Our cookie-free visit measurement expires after about three months. Google Analytics keeps event data for 14 months, then deletes it automatically.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can access the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw consent. Email hello@caishenlabs.com and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
SyncShelf is for businesses and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We'll update this notice when what we do changes; the date at the top shows the latest version.
